BlackBelt is Specialized's most efficient and dynamic puncture protection for their fastest tires. A strip of tightly cross-woven material (see image, red) is tucked directly under the tread, providing ultra-tough puncture and cut resistance. This lightweight barrier protects against glass, nails, or whatever else the road throws in your way, and is highly flexible to keep rolling resistance low.

I've gotten 2439 miles out of these tires and still have some tread left. The TWI are getting hard to see, so I guess I am nearing the replacement time. Will buy the S-WORKS TURBO TO COMPARE. Otherwise, why pay the higher price??? Will update after couple hundred miles.

Like the other comment I bought these tires by accident. I was looking for the S-Works version but they were out of stock so I bought these instead. Fast, comfortable and priced to sell. I would not hesitate to buy these again. Some reviews suggest they wear quickly but at that price, who cares.....

I've had this tire on my carbon frame for 1 yr. now. They were a dream when I bought them, and are still great. I bought them by mistake... I thought they were the S-WORKS turbo pro. But the ride is silky smooth, and corners well with tremendous grip. Will buy them again!!!
